PARKING UPDATE FOR JULY 2019: JONES HALL TUNNEL CLOSURE

Maintenance has temporarily closed the tunnel between the underground Theater District Parking Garage and Jones Hall beginning July 1, 2019. Access to Jones Hall is available from the street-level entrance only. Use parking garage stairs L, M, N, or O to exit to street level across from Jones Hall, or the elevator at nearby Bayou Place.

For patrons with limited mobility: During the tunnel closure, patrons with handicap placards and/or license plates may use the valet services on Capitol St. free of charge. There is also a drop-off lane on Louisiana St. for use before and after the concert. Additionally, complimentary golf cart taxis are available by request when entering the garage, and will be available in front of Jones Hall following the performance.

Repairs to mitigate the damage sustained to the Theater District Underground Garage during Hurricane Harvey continue. As a result, fewer parking spots are available. We suggest you arrive earlier than usual to secure a parking space in the Theater District Green Garage.

The Theater District Parking Garage is open for all Houston Symphony concerts. Please note that special event parking is now $12 (cash and credit cards accepted). All entrances are open for events. See a map of Theater District Parking Garage entrances. Complimentary subscriber parking is no longer available at the Houston Chronicle Garage.

Theater District Parking Garage: Know Before You Go
Hurricane Harvey filled Theater District Parking Garage with more than 270 million gallons of water and, though reopening, full restoration will take time. Until further notice, non-special event, hourly parking is unavailable and some garage elevators remain inoperable. Tunnels to 611 Walker, The Alley Theatre, Wortham Theater Center and Bank of America remain closed.

VALET PARKING (V)
For Conductor’s Circle level donors and above, valet parking will be available at right-hand side of Capitol St. between Milam and Louisiana for all performances.

HANDICAP ACCESSIBLE PARKING
Complimentary ADA valet parking is no longer available. Handicap accessible parking will be available on the first floor of the Theater District Garage and a tram service will be offered to those needing assistance. Interested patrons should notify a garage attendant on arrival.
