The Houston Symphony’s Community-Embedded Musicians Initiative is supported in part by a generous grant from the American Orchestras’ Futures Fund, a program of the League of American Orchestras made possible by funding from the Ann & Gordon Getty Foundation.
Foundation support makes a vital contribution to the Houston Symphony’s Annual Fund and General Endowment, underwriting a wide range of concert series, educational programs and community outreach activities.
The Houston Symphony is fortunate to have the generous and longstanding support of numerous local, regional and national foundations, whose grants play a vital role in maintaining the orchestra’s artistic excellence and organizational strength.
The Houston Symphony is also grateful for the support of the National Endowment for the Arts, the Texas Commission on the Arts and the City of Houston through the Houston Downtown Alliance, Miller Theatre Advisory Board and Houston Arts Alliance. Each season, government grants underwrite a variety of projects, ranging from special commissions by distinguished composers to education and community engagement programs.
