Education & Community Outreach

The Houston Symphony's longstanding commitment to education and outreach brings free or low-cost performances to the people of Houston. Performance venues include Jones Hall, Miller Outdoor Theater in Hermann Park, Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion in The Woodlands, as well as area schools, churches, community centers and shelters for the homeless.

If your corporation sponsors youth education, Music Matters is a wise investment. With fun and educational concerts for pre-K through middle-school students, the Symphony not only teaches music but how it relates to other subjects, including math, social studies, and cognitive reasoning. In a culture increasingly focused on standardized test performance, this kind of instruction is vital. In addition, a partnership with the Houston Symphony to support Education and Community Outreach allows you to be recognized in materials and signage across the city.

A gift to Music Matters entitles you to the best of both worlds: support of award-winning community outreach and youth education programs, and corporate recognition to a high-wealth, highly-educated demographic.
