By bringing music education to public schools, the program helps students build self-confidence and provides them with new opportunities to explore and expand their interest in music. Students have an opportunity to participate in in-school and out-of-school activities, including field trips to Houston Symphony performances, coaching by Houston Symphony musicians, and opportunities for student ensembles to perform.
