The Houston Symphony League Concerto Competition for advanced student instrumentalists is a major educational and artistic experience for young area musicians.

The 2007 event was held on January 13, 2007.  The winners and prizes are:

Julia Li, violin — 12th grader at High School for the Performing and Visual Arts (Houston ISD) -
$1000 and a performance with the Houston Symphony next season

Stephanie Chan, piano — 12th grader at High School for the Performing and Visual Arts (Houston ISD) -
$500 and a performance at a Houston Symphony League event in May

Arvin Soepriatna, piano — 9th grader at Elkins High School (Fort Bend ISD) -
$250
