Mission
The mission of the Houston Symphony is to inspire and enrich the lives of our diverse citizenry through outstanding symphonic music performed by our great orchestra.

Vision
Our vision is to be the entrepreneurial cornerstone of the performing arts in Houston through our performances, partnerships, connection to the community and educational activities.

While changing times have dictated some revisions in how we are stating our mission and our vision for the future, it is important to realize that our core values have not changed – artistic excellence, organizational excellence and excellence in stewardship – values that have motivated this institution for decades.
