
Michael is originally from Lexington, Kentucky. He attended Indiana University and played double bass in the New Orleans Philharmonic for three years before coming to Houston. In addition to playing the bass, he also works in the Houston Symphony music library with Librarian Tom Takaro and Tim Tull. He's been an assistant librarian for 21 years and enjoys it immensely. He and his wife, Debbie, enjoy many of the same activities and hobbies, such as gardening, antique shopping, politics, history, pop music. He loves basketball (University of Kentucky, Indiana), fishing and the outdoors. This year, his older son James will graduate with a master’s degree in accounting from Texas A&M. His younger son Doug is a freshman at the University of Texas-Austin.
