We encourage you to read this document to understand our objectives for obtaining personal data. This document also states how to contact us concerning the personal information you transmit to us through online transactions and electronic communications through this web site.

For each visitor to our web site, our web server automatically recognizes the user’s IP address. We use cookies to record session information about which pages users access or visit. This information helps us to evaluate the effectiveness of our site so we may provide useful content to visitors. In addition, we collect the postal address, telephone number and email address of each customer who purchases tickets online through our web site as well as those who communicate with us through electronic mail. From time to time, we will use this information to contact you these customers regarding upcoming events. Occasionally, the information we collect is shared with other local arts organizations to help them contact consumers for marketing purposes. Customers may prevent their information from being used for purposes other than those for which it was originally collected by writing to us at Houston Symphony, 615 Louisiana Street Suite 102, Houston, Texas 77002, or by sending us an email at office@houstonsymphony.org.  Please provide us with your exact name, postal address, phone number and email address in your correspondence.

In the future, we may use customer information for new, unanticipated uses not previously disclosed in our privacy notice. If our information practices change, we will post the policy changes to this page to notify you customers of these changes and provide you with the ability to opt out of these new uses. If you are concerned about how your information is used, you should check this page periodically.

Upon request we provide site visitors with access to all information that we maintain about them including unique identifier information (e.g., customer number or password), contact information (e.g., name, address, phone number), financial information (e.g., credit card account information), and transaction information (e.g., dates on which customers made purchases, amounts and types of purchases). Consumers can request access to this information by writing to us at Houston Symphony, 615 Louisiana Street Suite 102, Houston, Texas 77002, or by sending us an email at office@houstonsymphony.org. Please provide us with your exact name, postal address, phone number and email in your correspondence. Disclosure of this information will require proof of identity.

Upon request we also offer visitors the ability to have inaccuracies in their information corrected.

With respect to security, we have established company security standards and practices to protect against the loss, misuse or alteration of personal information, both online as well as in our physical facility.

Please use your best judgment when sending us personal information via email. Email sent may pass through private and public networks with varying levels of security. While some networks take steps to secure email transmissions, others may not, which may thereby compromise the privacy and integrity of email.
