Note: Due to heavy parking volume during customary business hours, available parking capacity for weekday matinee events is extremely limited. Please make alternate plans in such instances. 


Directions to Jones Hall:

Coming from North of Downtown Houston:
Take I-45 South to McKinney exit. Take McKinney to Louisiana,turn left. Turn left at Capital and enter Theater District Parking garage. Take US-59 South to Hamilton exit. Turn right on Capital. Take Capital to Louisiana and enter Theater District Parking garage.

Coming from South of Downtown Houston:
Take I-45 North to Houston/Memorial exit. Turn right on Memorial. Memorial turns into Texas. Turn right into Theater District Parking garage. Take SH-288 North to US-59 North exit to Gray/Pierce exit. Exit turns into Chartres. Proceed on Chartres to Capital, turn left. Take Capital to Louisiana and enter Theater District Parking garage.
Take US-59 North to Gray/Pierce exit. Exit turns into Chartres. Proceed on Chartres to Capital, turn left. Take Capital to Louisiana and enter Theater District Parking garage.

Coming from East of Downtown Houston:
Take I-10 West to US-59 South. Take Hamilton exit and turn right on Capital. Take Capital to Louisiana and enter Theater District Parking garage.

Coming from West of Downtown Houston:
Take I-10 East to Downtown/Smith exit. Proceed on Smith. Turn left on Texas. Turn right into Theater District Parking garage in front of Jones Hall. Take US-290 East to 610 South exit to I-10 East exit to Downtown/Smith exit. Proceed on Smith. Turn left on Texas. Turn right into Theater District Parking garage.


Directions to Sugar Land Baptist Church:

Sugar Land Baptist Church is on the Southwest Freeway (US 59) at Sweetwater Boulevard in Sugar Land, Texas, approximately 20 miles from downtown Houston. 

Coming from Houston:
Exit Sweetwater. Turn left on Sweetwater Boulevard, then to the right on Town Center Blvd South. Continue until you reach the church parking lot. 

Coming from Richmond/Rosenberg:
Exit University. Turn right into the Sugar Land Baptist Church parking lot from the feeder road of US 59.

 


Directions and Parking for Rice University

From North or South

Those approaching Houston on I-45 North or I-45 South should take the US 59 south exit. From US 59 south, take the Fannin Street exit and travel south on Fannin until you reach Sunset Boulevard. Take a right on Sunset and an immediate left on Main Street. Turn right into the Rice campus using entrance No. 1 or No. 2.

Those approaching Houston from the north on US 59 (heading south) should take the Fannin Street exit and travel south on Fannin until you reach Sunset Boulevard. Take a right on Sunset and an immediate left on Main Street. Turn right into the Rice campus using entrance No. 1 or No. 2.

Those approaching Houston from the south on US 59 (heading north) should exit at Main Street, stay in the right lane and turn right (south) on Main. Follow Main until you pass the light at Sunset Boulevard. Turn right into the Rice campus using entrance No. 1 or No. 2.

 

From East or West

Those approaching Houston from the west on I-10 East should take 610 South to 59 North and exit at Greenbriar. Stay on the frontage road, turn right (south) on Greenbriar. Follow Greenbriar to the light at Rice Boulevard. Turn left on Rice Boulevard. Stay on Rice Boulevard until it becomes Sunset. Turn right on Main Street and take an immediate right into the Rice campus using entrance No. 1 or No. 2.

Those approaching Houston from the east on I-10 West should take the US 59 South exit. From US 59 South, take the Fannin Street exit and travel south on Fannin until you reach Sunset Boulevard. Take a right on Sunset Boulevard and an immediate left on Main Street. Turn right into the Rice campus using entrance No. 1 or No. 2.

Those approaching Houston from the northwest on 290 should take 610 South to 59 North and exit at Main Street, stay in the right lane and turn right (south) on Main. Follow Main until you pass the light at Sunset Boulevard. Turn right into the Rice campus using entrance No. 1 or No. 2.

 

METRO Bus and Rail

The Metropolitan Transit Authority of Harris County, (METRO) provides bus and rail service from destinations around Houston.

 

There is a METRORail stop across the street from the main entrance of the Rice campus. The rail line travels up and down Main Street, serving downtown, the Texas Medical Center and Reliant Park.

 

Parking

Our new “Musically Speaking with Andrés” series is held at Rice University’s Stude Concert Hall at the Shepherd School of Music (housed in Alice Pratt Brown Hall, 6100 S. Main, Houston, TX 77005).

  • If you have Theater District parking vouchers for your Jones Hall performances, please bring them with you to all "Musically Speaking” concerts. Attendants will be available to collect them 90 minutes in advance of the performance.
  • If you do not have Theater District parking vouchers, please be aware that the campus charges $4 for parking. All payments must be cashless; only credit and debit cards will be accepted.

Directions and Parking for Miller Outdoor Theatre

Miller Outdoor Theatre is located at 6000 Hermann Park Drive in Hermann Park, just south of the Museum of Natural Science and the Houston Garden Center.

From Hwy 59N

Exit Fannin and turn left on Fannin.
Turn left onto Binz or Ewing.
Turn right on Caroline.
Turn left on Hermann Park Drive.
The Theatre will be located on the right hand side.


From Hwy 59S

Exit Main and continue through the stoplight at Main.
At the second light, turn right onto Fannin.
Turn left onto Southmore, Binz or Ewing.
Turn right onto Caroline.
Turn left on Hermann Park Drive.
The Theatre will be located on the right hand side.


From I-45N

Take exit 46B to merge onto highway US-59 South towards Victoria.
Take the Fannin exit.
Make a left onto Fannin.
Make a left at Binz or Ewing.
Make a right at the first stop sign, Caroline.
Turn left on Hermann Park Drive.
The Theatre will be located on the right hand side.


From I-45S

Take exit 46B to merge onto highway US-59 South towards Victoria.
Take the Fannin exit.
Make a left onto Fannin.
Make a left at Binz or Ewing.
Make a right at the first stop sign, Caroline.
Turn left on Hermann Park Drive.
The Theatre will be located on the right hand side.


From I-10E

Take I-10 east.
Take exit 763 and merge onto highway I-610 south.
Take exit 8A and merge onto highway US-59 north.
Take the Main St exit.
Continue through the light at Main Street, and then take a right at Fannin.
Turn left at Binz or Ewing.
Turn right on Caroline.
Turn left on Hermann Park Drive.
The Theatre will be located on the right hand side.


From I-10W

Take I-10 West.
Take exit 770A on the left to merge onto US-59 south.
Take the Fannin exit.
Make a left onto Fannin.
Make a left at Binz or Ewing.
Make a right at the first stop sign, Caroline.
Turn left on Hermann Park Drive.
The Theatre will be located on the right hand side.


From Hwy 288N

Exit Binz/Calumet.
At the second light, turn right onto Binz. Continue on Binz.
Turn left onto Caroline.
Turn left on Hermann Park Drive.
The Theatre will be located on the right hand side.


From Hwy 288S

Exit Binz.
Turn left on Binz.
Turn left on Caroline.
Turn left on Hermann Park Drive.
The Theatre will be located on the right hand side.


From S Loop 610 or the Medical Center

Use Fannin or Main heading north.
Turn right onto Montrose.
You will go past the Sam Houston statue and onto Hermann Park Drive.
The Theatre will be located on the right hand side.

FREE PARKING DIRECTIONS

Follow these directions to take you to the FREE parking lots that surround the venue.

FROM DOWNTOWN HOUSTON

Take Interstate 45 or the Hardy Toll Road north. Exit Woodlands Parkway. Go straight thru the Six Pines Drive light and follow the signs to the next available free parking lot.

FROM CONROE

Take Interstate 45 south. Exit Research Forest Drive. Turn right on Research Forest Drive. Take a left onto Grogan’s Mill Road. Continue on Grogan’s Mill Road. Proceed to Timberloch Place and follow the signs to the next available free lot. From Timberloch Place you can access the Yellow, Orange, Green, Blue and White free lots.

PAY & PRE-PAID PARKING DIRECTIONS

Follow these directions to take you to the PAY parking at Entrance 2 of the Gold Lot parking garage. Parking spaces are limited, but you can pre-pay for parking to reserve a space at Ticketmaster or The Pavilion Box Office. Pay parking may sell-out before an event takes places. Check out the event pages on this site to see if parking is sold-out before you to come to an event.

FROM DOWNTOWN HOUSTON

Take Interstate 45 or the Hardy Toll Road north. Exit Woodlands Parkway. Turn right on Six Pines Dr. Follow the signs to the Pre-Paid Parking/Gold Lot.

FROM CONROE

Take Interstate 45 or the Hardy Toll Road north. Exit Research Forest Drive. Turn right on Research Forest Drive. Take a left onto Grogan’s Mill Road. Continue on Grogan's Mill Road and follow the signs to the Pre-Paid Parking/Gold Lot.

DROP-OFF DIRECTIONS
