Asian Leadership Council



The Symphony is committed to engaging Houston’s Asian community in more meaningful ways. Recently, musicians of the Houston Symphony performed at the opening festivities for the Chinese Community Center’s Lunar New Year Celebration. When the violinist Midori performed as a soloist with the orchestra, a special meet and greet reception was arranged for members of the Japan-America Society of Houston. In June of 2014, the entire Symphony will return to the Chinese Community Center to perform a free neighborhood concert for the community.
